Although parking can be found near all the starting points, we strongly recommend you consider getting to the start location on foot or by public transport. Some tours are A to B (meaning we do not finish where we started) and finding parking in the city is most usually either costly and/or challenging.
Teenagers (13+) are allowed, provided of course they are interested in running!
Running tours can take on two different styles. In the case of a group tour, during the run the guide will stop periodically to give commentary and to check in with all members of the group. In the case of a private tour for one or two people, the guide can talk as everyone runs together, but will also make stops for longer explanations.
These are indeed running tours, and it’s important to make sure you will be comfortable with the pace and the total distance indicated. Each tour clearly states how fast you should be able to run, and for how long.
If you have any doubts at all, perhaps a private tour is more your speed! During a private tour, the guide will adjust to the pace that you are comfortable with.
Yes, advance ticket purchase is required. The guide will not be able to accept payments on site. Also, to maximize your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer, please book well in advance.
We love dogs at White Rabbit Detours, but due to the group nature of the tours, dogs are only allowed on private tours.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, but not mandatory. Consider also leaving a review as a way of thanking your guide.
Other than in city parks, there are few public toilets in Montreal. If one is needed, your guide will do their best to find a suitable solution as quickly as possible.
The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. We advise you to check the forecast the morning of the tour and dress appropriately.
Only in the case of a severe weather warning where the safety or participants would be put in question will the tour be cancelled.
Private tours may also be booked in French.
If you have a group of runners, we can build a tour for you. Contact us for more information.
Other than appropriate running gear for the weather conditions, you could bring a reusable water bottle for use at water fountains, and personal effects. The guide will be able to carry phones, keys, and other small items for participants.
